Last Sunday we went for a walk down Westfield Pill Reserve, Neyland Marina. It is a lovely walk and we go there whatever the season and weather. It is also one of mine and my sisters favourite places to go for a run, although we are tending to run the beach side at the moment as this path gets so dark! It is actually a Cycle Path, but walkers, joggers, runners and scooters are welcome too!
We climbed the gate (well actually I boringly walked through! Oh to be a kid again when climbing seemed so easy!)
Just hanging about!
Played with big sticks! Very useful walking stick, fishing rod or weapon!
Used smaller sticks to start a fire! Luckily not successfully!
This photo makes me think of the song lyric, "A long, long road, with many a winding turn...".
"She ain't heavy...she's my sister!"
We watched the ducks.
"No Fishing!"
We saw a "two-headed duck"! I love capturing water reflections and ripples.
Did lots of climbing and jumping!
Had a wobble! Oops!
My tiny dancer looks very cheeky here!
Rebecca "feeding the river".
Caitlyn giving us the heebie jeebies by getting close to the water.
"Be careful, you might fall in!"
"No, I won't!"
They ignored the sign and went fishing...just with a stick! Don't worry we didn't catch anything!
Rebecca dancing in the rain!
Isabelle looking cute enough to eat as she enjoys her picnic!
Beautiful baby xxx.
We had a "Funny Hat Competition". We lost Caitlyn's hat and it was freezing, so I had to lend her mine which looked huge on her little head!
A wet bench won't stop us Brits picnicing! Blankets save the day! We should have bought extra to put over our knees! Nanny and the big girls.
Caitlyn hiding in my hat! She was giggling like a loon!
We came home and I popped to see my favourite swans down Gelliswick. We didn't see the swans at Neyland on this occasion. There are usually lots there.
Joining in with Country Kids.
Where have you been having outside fun with the kids this week?
We're due a walk in our woods and a play in the Park, so that's on our to do list when we can fit it in!
